Technology trading under many brandsAddtech is a technology trading group that provides technological and economic value added in the link between manufacturers and customers. The Group operates in selected niches in the market for advanced technology products and solutions. Its customers primarily operate in the manufacturing industry and the public sector. Addtech has around 2000 employees at over a hundred subsidiaries that operate under their own brands, and the Group has sales of around SEK 6 billion. The Addtech share is listed on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm.

The market is northern EuropeThe main focus of Addtech’s operations is the Nordics, but in recent years the importance of non-Nordic markets has grown. In addition to our own operations in 12 countries outside the Nordic Region, Addtech exporting products and services to a further 20 countries.

I am proud to present Addtech. We have worked according to the same business concept since 1906: to represent international suppliers in the Nordic market. Our business concept has been successful for more than 100 years, which shows that, despite industrial development and fluctuations in the economy, a link between manufacturers and users is required – as long as it adds value.

The value is created in our subsidiaries, which are characterised by an endeavour to be market leaders in well-defined niches. Our sales personnel are technically skilled business professionals who work closely with our customers and suppliers to meet various customer needs. The products we offer range from standard components to tailor-made comprehensive solutions all of which have a high knowledge and technology content.

We know that entrepreneur ship and innovative employees, combined with clear goals and a shared corporate culture, enable each individual subsidiary to develop. In addition, many of Addtech’s products are incorporated into the end products of customers who export worldwide. Addtech often continues to supply its products to these customers when they relocate their manufacturing operations abroad.

Addtech’s many subsidiaries, customers and suppliers together form a broad and established network. Knowledge sharing is a natural part of the network and it means that our subsidiaries are well-informed about what is happening in their specific markets in respect of technological and market developments. Knowledge sharing reinfor-ces the competitive strength of our subsidiaries and enables us to develop entire market segments.

We encourage our subsidiaries to open doors for each other. Successful networking means better solutions for our customers and allows us to harness market opportunities more effectively. The network is constantly growing through measures such as our acquisitions of new technology trading companies that complement existing operations.

Networking is part of our corporate culture and is underpinned by established structures and processes. The basis for natural co-operation between the Group’s subsidiaries is laid through board work in the subsidiaries, regular business unit meetings, conferences for company Managing Directors and education.

Our subsidiaries are part of this success and our more than 1,000 skilled sales engineers together possess a unique knowledge bank in the fields of technology, application know-how, retail, logistics and – equally important – the Nordic business community.

This combined knowledge benefits everyone, because we encourage and enable people to share experience and enhance their competence. Teamed with clear goals and a robust corporate culture, knowledge has given us strength to continuously develop our offering to our customers. Our suppliers also contribute valuable knowledge, particularly when given the challenge of finding new and better solutions for our customers.

The Addtech Business School is the basis of in-house knowledge transfer. It also serves as an important platform for spreading the corporate culture and Addtech’s business philosophy as well as improving business skills. The overall aim of the training is to teach and motivate employees to be committed and successful in the Group. We like to invite customers and suppliers to the Business School as speakers – which is a valuable way of making the training realistic.

More than one hundred years of experience, combined with continual learning and effective intra-Group knowledge transfer creates highly favourable conditions for meeting our customers’ expectations of innovation and quality.

We like order and structure and have a long term focus, and our subsidiaries are well-run and reliable co-operation partners.

Addtech’s size and financial strength mean that the subsidiaries can develop and grow their businesses. Our smaller subsidiaries can take on large and complex projects with greater security and on a more long-term basis for their customers and suppliers. Secure finances are always a higher priority than growth, and sales, stock levels and performance of subsidiaries are followed up regularly. We also follow up market trends on an ongoing basis. Such follow-up enables us to tackle problems at an early stage and ensure that customers and suppliers receive optimal service, even in times of unease.

Order and structure create security for all parties. Within Addtech, we have therefore drawn up a joint Group framework for issues such as terms of delivery, liability insurance and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).

Our subsidiaries are independent, but not alone. No part of the operation is dependent on a few individuals, since each business unit always contains skilled employees who can provide support if required. We believe in flexibility and work proactively with the organisation so that it fulfills our customers’ and suppliers’ needs in the best way possible.
