Annexure I

Implement a system that allows online application submission, payment and tracking of status

without the need for a physical touch point for document submission for Permission for Power

Supply new Electricity connection and mandate that all applications are submitted online.

Login Details:

Select the Desired Services and click the Check box provided against each Service and then click the Crate Caf button

On Clicking on Create Caf icon, application form opens, where details are required to be filled in by the applicant. Regional Office Customer Care Center Selection to be filled: Screenshot is as given below:

3. Then click on ‘Submit All Details’

4. On clicking submit all details, CAF number is generated (In this case CAF-001330) Screenshot is as given below:

5. Once the Application is submitted and there are hyperlinks as shown below are as follows:

a. Edit/View: This link is for editing the application when the Department returns the application for corrections in the application form.

b. Attachments’: This link is for viewing the documents uploading and downloading. c. History: This link is for knowing the status of the application.

d. EMD Letter: This link is for downloading the EMD Letter generated by the Department for

knowing the amount of EMD to be paid. This is only for the Load Category above 50 KVA.

e. Payment : This link is for making the payment through Bill Desk (The system will automatically calculate the amount to be paid)

f. Payment History: This is for viewing the Payment Status

g. Quotation Letter: This is for Download the Quotation raised by the Department (for Man Charges and Material Cost)

h. Welcome Letter: This is for Download the Final Certificate Issued by the WBSEDCL

6. Once the Application is submitted, the application will be sent to the Department user login where the application will processed. 7. If the applied load category is greater than 50 KVA, the applicant has to make Earnest Money Deposit for which department will be sending an EMD Letter through Online.

On clicking the ‘EMD Letter’ hyperlink, EMD Letter opens where applicant can know how much amount has to be paid as EMD and the time before which the amount has to be paid.

8. Now, under the ‘Quotation Letter’ hyperlink,

Once applicant makes the EMD amount, the application will be processed by the department for further process and inspection of sight for which the power supply required. After inspection, a Quotation will be sent by the department for Security Deposit and Material and Man charges through online.


9. On clicking the ‘Download quotation Letter’ hyperlink, the Quotation letter gets generated and Opens in a pdf format.

The Quotation letter generated through online system based on the load (KVA/KW) required for this online application, i.e. for Application number 1000001794 in this case, is as given below: Screenshot is as given below:

10. The Quotation amount can be paid online by clicking on the ‘Payment Type hyperlink’ Screenshot is as given below:

On Clicking the Payment Type hyperlink, a new page opens up where applicant has to select the mode of payment.

Tracking of Status:

11. The Processing of Application in the department can be seen in the History hyperlink as shown in the below screen shot


Payment: The amount can be paid online by clicking on the ‘Payment hyperlink’ Screenshot is as given below:

12. On clicking Payment hyperlink, the amount to be paid appears with ‘Pay Now’ option Screenshot is as given below:

Final Certificate: Annexure II

Once all the process are completed by the department users the final certificate generated by the Department can be downloaded or viewed as shown below.

Thus, users are provided a fixed cost estimate based on the load (KVA/KW) required for obtaining Electricity connection in all industrial areas of State and it is ensured that these charges (demand note) is generated through the online system.
