This annual free admission event, in its 24th year, focuses on traditional folk music and song from various world cultures. There are several stages spread throughout the historic and scenic downtown Galt area of Cambridge, running simultaneously throughout the weekend. The centrepiece is the Mill Race amphitheatre, made from the ruins of a 19thC. textile mill overlooking the Grand River. Other stages include the Children’s Stage, Acoustic Stage and Civic Square Stage, flanked by the Old Town Hall and Firehall Museum, backing onto the new award-winning Cambridge Civic Administration building.

Friday: 7-11pm. Saturday : 1-11pm and Sunday: 1-10pm.

TD KITCHENER BLUES FESTIVALAUGUST 4-7, 2016

The TD Kitchener Blues Festival, one of Canada’s biggest and most popular blues festivals, has been running for over 15 years. Held in multiple venues in the downtown core of Kitchener, Ontario the Festival offers an incredible array of blues talent and a delightful entertainment experience for all ages. The surrounding area also offers other incredible outing options (e.g., markets, theatre, natural environments) to make for a wonderful getaway.

This year’s Festival will be held from August 4th – 7th, 2016 and will feature the following music themes – a Gordie Johnson career retrospective, a Canadian Women’s Blues Revue, a Deep South Blues Experience and a Tribute to the music of Bob Dylan. Our Thursday night ticketed concert features Eric Burdon and the Animals.
