connectedtoasuctionpump.Thefeedwater(rawwater)
ispassingthemembranefromout-to-induringfiltration
process.Suspendedsolidsandothercompoundsare
collectedonthemembraneoutsideandthefilteredwater
ispassingthroughthemembranebodytothefiltered
waterchannels.

cakelayer.incommonout-to-inmembranesorpressurized
systems(in-to-out)acakelayerformationneedstobe
avoidedbecauseblockingofthemembraneslimitsflux

layerwhichleadtooutstandingfilteredwaterquality
andtheremovalofdissolvedcompoundsbytargeted
adsorption.Theformedcakelayercanbefullyandeasily
beremovedbyhigh-pressurebackwash(In-to-Out).Within
secondsawaterfilmisgeneratedbetweenthenano-
