Industrial & commercial recycling Due to legislative and policy developments in protecting our

environment, waste management has become an important component

of managing any business.

Failure to manage waste responsibly will have increasingly negative

financial implications, either in escalating landfill fees or fines.

WastePlan manages all general, organic, hazardous and recyclable

waste and reports on the waste stream in a manner that complies with

HACCP and ISO 14001 standards.

It is our business to recycle and conserve resources, thereby helping our

clients comply with environmental legislation. Allow us to do what we

do best on your site, while you look after the bottom line.

We service the following types of businesses:

Food Factories Hospitals Distribution Centres Manufacturing Companies Shopping Malls Office Blocks Hotels Mines Wine Farms Universities

Residential recycling South Africa is facing a waste crisis – we are running out of landfill space

at an alarming rate.

WastePlan collects, sorts and recycles household recyclable waste from

residential homes and complexes. This initiative is saving natural

resources, as well as prolonging the life of our landfill sites.

What we do We specialise in managing waste on-site in such a manner that it will save you

money, help you comply with environmental legislation and reduce the waste

you send to landfill.

Our services include the following:

1. On-site sorting and cleaning

If you generate waste, you should have a waste area and this area is a risk that

needs to be managed by a professional. Our staff will keep your waste area

clean; sort your recyclables into the different streams, and minimize the waste

you send to landfill. This will result in less cost, and a greener footprint.

2. Waste reduction

We will do a waste audit free of charge, apply our formulas to your current

waste streams and if we can reduce the waste you send to landfill, we will

propose a service where we manage your waste.

For each kilogram of waste that we remove

from your waste stream, you will see a double

benefit (reduction in landfill cost as well as an

income from the recycling).

In other words, where other companies will

profit from the removal of waste, we will

profit from the reduction of waste, and you

will save money.

Our main focus is reducing waste to landfill,

thereby complying with environmental

legislation.

If we cannot save you money, we

don’t get involved.

3. Electronic reporting

All waste is weighed and reported on our secure online platform. This

data and more can be accessed with any computer and mobile device.

You cannot reduce anything until you

measure it .

4. Carbon savings – diverting waste from landfill

The carbon savings presented on our reporting platform are calculated

from the USEPA emission factors in their Waste Reduction Model

(WARM), updated February 2012. The resulting data are the combination

of savings regarding using less energy for recycling material than to make

an article from its raw materials, and the carbon saving from

diverting the waste

from landfill,

where it

decomposes.
