Dan Bylsma is in his second season as head coach of the Sabres after being hired as the 17th head coach in franchise history on May 28,2015. In his first season with the team in 2015-16, Bylsma guided the Sabres to a 27-point improvement. Buffalo finished 35-36-11 overall andenjoyed the second-largest points percentage improvement in franchise history. Bylsma joined the Sabres after spending six seasons as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he led the team to a 252-117-32overall regular-season record and became the winningest head coach in Penguins history.
