MembershipLike throwing a stone in a pond, your connection with other people will have a rippling affect. One of the best sources to get ideas and make new contacts is to network with others at the chamber gatherings. Doing so helps you remain competitive and keeps you up to date on local developments. I recently read an article written by J. Marshall, a Business Development Specialist. He states “the reality of a chamber is an ecosystem from which your business can exist and thrive. Much like a natural ecosystem, the chamber ecosystem has an interrelated and interdependent chain that is necessary for each entity to exist. The big businesses can’t exist without the small businesses. The small businesses can’t exist without the workers from the big businesses. The manufacturing companies cannot exist without the construction companies. You see? Interdependence.”
So, ideally, the chamber's role is to build a self-sustaining ecosystem in which businesses can interact and support one another.
Membership is a two pronged approach. The first is tangible. What can we do for your business directly? A referral, new lead, discount on Constant Contact or use of bulk mailing, marketing support, chamber website and Facebook page, online member directory, lobby brochures, event calendar and more are all working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to promote our members.. The second prong is the overall good. We exist to create a favorable business climate in our community, whether behind the scenes, advocacy, promote the community to new residents, assisting new business startups, bringing back useful information from regional events, bring in outside resources to address key issues faced by businesses in our community and promote keeping dollars in the local economy- which creates jobs and promotes community development. Whether you are a lifetime member or brand new member you are investing in the key elements and steps to make your business or organization and community successful.
Your chamber at work, building a better business community in Waseca area since 1953. We are a member driven organization of businesses and individuals who band together for the collective best interest of developing Waseca’s future. The chamber board and I take our roles seriously in advocating for our business community and members. Thank you for your support and investing in the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce, joining your voice with other businesses with a common goal to enhance our community’s well-being.
