OVERVIEWWARWICK ENGINEERING SOCIETY
Warwick Engineering Society has grown hugely over the last few years, becoming one of the largest academic societies at the University of Warwick. As a society, we support our members during their time at Warwick. We run regular careers and academic events, including two annual conferences, as well as social, sports and outreach events. To help our members develop transferable skills and give back to the Society, we run a large Outreach and Events Team to support the Society Exec and help organise our events.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:Our Conferences are one of our flagship events of the year. We hold two conferences a year, one on Energy
and one on Technology. In the past they have been held in 350 seater lecture theatres, welcoming industry leaders and researchers to speak about their field of work. Often, the day comprises of several speaker slots, breakout sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities during refreshments/dinner.
Last year, the Energy Conference covered the Future of Sustainable Technology. We had speakers from the National Automotive Innovation Centre, JLR, Catapult, and the School of Engineering, who spoke about energy sustainability in transport, the future energy grid and storage.
> Introduction and Overview of The Future of Sustainable Transport> Future of the Electricity Grid> High Speed Two – part of the journey to a sustainable transport network> Energy Storage in Transport Applications> What does the Traveller Need?> Racing Towards a Sustainable Electric Future
The Technology Conference last year, covered Cyber Security and Communi-cations. We invited prolific speakers and researchers from the Metropolitan Police, SBL and the Cyber Security Centre at WMG, including Superintendent Charlie McMurdie, and Mustafa Al-Bassam, co-founder of hacktivist group Lulzsec. The speakers managed to discuss a board range of socio-economic problems associated with the technological developments in cyber-security and communications.
> The cyber criminals, what they do and who they are> Security in the Evolving Telecoms Network> Bytes, Bombs, and Batman: ‘Cyber’ as a Human Science> Automotive cyber security: A breakdown of the Jeep Cherokee hack> Security, Privacy, Censorship. 2015 Year in Review> Robots of the world! The power of man has fallen! A new world has arisen: the Rule of the Robots!
WE BELIEVE THERE IS A LOT THAT WE CAN OFFER YOU WITH OUR CONFERENCES:

· Your logo on all our physical media (including, banner stands, flyers and posters)
