COMUR WAR - REGULATIONS AND GENERAL ORGAN1 ZATION

Colour w a r i s not a w a r . Friendships a r e t o be both made and strengthened. This can happen only through s p i r i t e d competition where sportsmanship and amicabi l i ty are more important than winning. I n t h i s respect i t is up t o a l l staff members t o s e t a proper example, and t h a t means no arguing o r t h e campers w i l l do the same.

For Colour War t o be successful the re must be pa r t i c ipa t i on by a l l campers, not only the g i f t e d ones o r the more a t h l e t i c ones. S t a f f members, both coaches ar.d o f f i c i a l s , should encourage a l l campers t o become involved i n tne events a n d t h e y should a l s o be the s p i r i t l eaders . However, a l l staff members should r e a l i z e the camp- e r s ' limits and c a p a b i l i t i e s and thus not sh tem too hard.

1. TEAM MEETING AREAS: One team w i l l meet i n the Spec ia l ty Cabin while the o ther team w i l l meet i n the Rec. H a l l .

2. TEAM LINE-UP AREAS: The team t h a t meets i n the Rec. H a l l w i l l l i n e up t o the r i gh t (o f f i ce s i d e ) of the f l a g pole. The other team w i l l l i n e up on t o the l e f t s ide of the f l a g pole.

3. TEAMEATING AREAS: The team t h a t l i n e s up t o the r i g h t of the f l a g pole (o f f i ce s i d e ) , w i l l t ake up s e a t s along the r i g h t s ide of t h e dining h a l l . The other team sits on t h e l e f t s i de of the din- ing h a l l . I

13. Each team w i l l perform i n a dramatic presenta t ion the las t evening, The C& must consis t of 8 t o 12 geople. Each team's presenta t ion w i l l last from 15 t o 20 minutes. The C I T ' s MUST organize the presenta t ion f o r the team. There can be NO staff d i r ec t i on at al l .

14. Dining h a l l decorations must be completed by Wednesday at supper. They w i l l be judged at a? es tabl ished time, A MAJOR CRITERIA FOR THE J U D G I N G OF DINING HALL LECORATIONS WILL BE THE EXTENT OF CAMPER PARTICIPATION. I n addit ion, Dining Hall decorat ions must be removed (and the team dining h a l l a rea per fec t ly cleaned) immediately a f t e r breakfast; on Thursday morning.
