Q&A

Where  to  Begin?

How  should  one  go  about  touring  Wall  Street?

In  order  to  get  the  most  out  your  visit,  do  some  research  before  you  go  to  Wall  Street.    All  of  the  history  is  online  and  you  can  see  what  other  places  in  the  area  you  may  want  to  go  to.  A  tour  of  the  area  can  take  anywhere  from  45  minutes  to  a  few  hours  depending  on  your  interests.

Why  should  we  go  to  Wall  Street?

The  street  is  one  of  the  most  historical  places  in  New  York.  Not  only  is  it  important  in  relative  times,  but  in  the  past  as  well.  The  history,  buildings,  and  artifacts  make  it  a  popular  tourist  destination  to  visit.

When  touring  Wall  Street,  it  is  best  to  start  at  the  beginning  near  Broadway.  As  one  walks  down  the  street,  there  are  several  informational  signs  that  explain  the  history  of  Wall  Street.  In  the  first  block,  there  is  the  New  York  Stock  Exchange.  Due  to  previous  incidences,  it  is  no  longer  open  to  the  public,  but  one  is  still  able  to  observe  this  historical  landmark  from  the  outside.  Also,  near  by,  there  is  the  Federal  Hill  National  Memorial.  There  is  a  lot  of  old  architecture  as  well  as  the  classic  brick  road.

The  benefit  of  touring  Wall  Street  is  that  one  has  the  opportunity  to  do  as  little  or  as  much  as  they  would  like  to  do.  It  is  recommended  to  research  the  area  before  a  visit  in  order  to  help  familiarize  one’s  self  with  the  area  and  learn  the  extent  of  its  history.  Even  though  it  is  not  on  Wall  Street,  it  is  definitely  worth  the  short  walk  to  visit  the  bull.  The  bull  has  come  to  be  a  symbol  for  Wall  Street  and  one  can  take  pictures  with  it  as  well.  Additionally,  there  are  some  small  boutique  stores  and  many  restaurants  in  the  area  as  well.  If  one  comes  to  Wall  Street,  there  are  endless  options  to  explore  and  sight  see,  and  it  is  located  near  the  water  as  well.
