Volunteer Centres
There is a volunteer centre in each local authority area in Wales, plus 12 covering the large rural county of Powys, making a total of 33.
All are voluntary organisations and are either independent groups or part of the county voluntary council.
They exits to provide free advice on volunteering in each specific locality
VCS – The Cardiff Volunteer Centre VCS exists to provide free, friendly
and impartial advice on volunteering in Cardiff
We have over 560 different opportunities registered for 300+ organisations
Areas include youth work, befriending and advice, health, disability and support needs, community and conservation projects, retail, office and admin roles, fundraising, PR and publicity and much more!!

Millennium Volunteers
Millennium Volunteers is a UK-wide Government-backed initiative to encourage young people (aged 16 – 25) to volunteer.
There are three levels:• 50 hours (Certificate) • 100 hours (Certificate) • 200 hours (Award of Excellence)
