Spotlight on volunteers

One of NBCF’s long term volunteers, Richard, features in our volunteer spotlight this issue.

Richard has been volunteering at NBCF for over 10 years. Here is a snapshot of why he volunteers for NBCF:

Why do you volunteer for NBCF?I lost a partner, my little sister and 2 very close friends some years back to breast cancer and it is for them and in their honour one could say, that I have committed myself to being part of the Foundation indefinitely, and most willingly participating in fundraising efforts that will no doubt benefit many others in future.

What do you like about volunteering?Meeting so many wonderful and caring people from all walks of life over the years, staff and volunteers alike, sharing stories and events past, and being part of a great team of individuals committed to the short/long term objectives of the Foundation.

If you could choose 3 special dinner guests, who would they be?Angelina Jolie, Sarah and Lachlan Murdoch (having met them both, a lovely couple).
