CURRENT EVENTS

CENTRAL 5K RUN/2 MILE WALK/1-MILE FUN RUN ARE YOU SIGNED UP YET?!?

In just a few weeks – on Saturday, March 23, 2013 – Central will host its first MISSIONS: POSSIBLE 5K Run,2-Mile Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run. When I moved here 4 years ago, I heard many Central members expressthe wish that Central could have a “signature event” each year to get our name out in the community. Well, nowwe have such an event, thanks to our Missions Ministry Team and Mission/Evangelism pastor Owen Weddle!

The MISSIONS: POSSIBLE 5K Run, 2-Mile Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run is something everyone in Central canget behind and support! Of course, we hope you can participate in the 5K run, 2-Mile Walk, or the 1-Mile FunRun; but you don’t have to be a “world-class runner” or be a runner at all to participate. You don’t even have tobe a walker to support this project. ALL OF US can support this event by registering [the cost is only $20 andincludes an event T-shirt] or you can volunteer to serve on race day to help make it a “signature event.”

All proceeds from this year’s 5K Run, 2-Mile Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run will go to support the Boys and Girls Clubof Meridian. Mr. Ricky Hood and his staff do an outstanding job of working with disadvantaged children andyouth in our community. With your support, we can make “possible” our expanded involvement in “mission” andministry in our area.

Will you get involved and help Central be in “mission” in 2013?
