PRE-REAC INSPECTION

Mr. Bruce McNatt, UPCS Inspector will be here Monday, July 17, 2017 to conduct physical inspections of the Tatum Housing Authority. This inspection is to ensure that the property's housing is decent, safe, sanitary and in good repairs. Make sure that your apartment is CLEAN and READY FOR INSPECTION. I must remind you that there is not supposed to be anything in front of your windows that is taller than the bottom of the window. If you have anything in front of your windows, then it needs to be moved. All what knots in window sills must be moved so we can check the windows opening and closing. The Call to Aide Strings must be visible and hanging to the floor. Please do not have the Call to Aide Strings blocked. Doors cannot be blocked.

You do not have to be present for this inspection; however, he and I will enter the apartment and do the inspection.

I will be making my own notes as to the condition of each apartment. These notes will go into your files, so please make sure everything is clean so that the inspector can do his job.

Please review the list below and make sure your apaiiment is I compliance:

1. YARD The area around your apaiiment is called the site. Your apartment, parking space, and YARD must be clean of all trash including broken bottles and cigarette Butts.

2. HOT WATER HEATER CLOSET Do not store ANYTHING in your water heater or air conditioner closet.

3. Sinks and Showers and commodes must BE CLEAN not be stopped up

4. MILDEW All MILDEW must be removed from everything in the bathroom, walls, windows, kitchen, interior and exterior door.

5. BLOCKED WINDOWS AND DOORS. You cannot have anything blocking the windows and doors.

6. TRIPPING HAZARDS. All tripping hazards must be removed-cords, cable lines, etc.

7. STOVES must work and be clean. When you tum on a burner it must come on instantly. If it does not, that means that you have something stopping up the burner and you must clean it so that it works correctly.

8. REFRIGERATORS should be clean and not be damaged. The rubber gasket around the refrigerator should be intact, clean, no rips or tears

9. INFESTATION. Please report to Office for treatment. Check your water heater closet and A/C closet and make sure all dead bugs are removed.

10. SMOKE DETECTORS will be checked. Ifyour smoke detector is missing, you will be charged $75.00.

11. VENT-A-HOOD must work. Make sure filter is clean. 12. LIGHTS must come on. Please replaced burned out bulb. 13. FAUCETS Report dripping faucets. 14. CLOHES DRYER Make sure your clothes dryer is properly vented.

I"""\ 15. DOORKNOBS and LOCKS should work. When you close the door, it should stay shut when you pull the doorknob. Make sure if the bathroom door has a lock that it works.

16. DOORS AND WALLS should not have peeling paint, holes in them, or art drawn by your Child.

17. WINDOWS. No cracks. When you raise the window it should stay up. Locks on the windows should work. The screens on the WINDOWS must lock and not have holes in them.

18. LIGHT SWITCHES AND PLUGS should work. The cover plates should not be cracked or missing.

19. GFI PLUGS. That's the plug around your sinks and washing machine. Make sure this plug works.

20. SCREEN DOORS must be clean and the handle must work when the door closes.

21. SEWER CAPS in your yard must have the lids on them. 22. PORCHES must be clean.
