Rotarians extend help to typhoon victims

On the fateful day of September 19, 2014, typhoon“Mario” hit Luzon island aggravated by the monsoon rains. The typhoon submerged large areas in Luzon, includingMetro Manila and Rizal province, in floodwater, wroughtserious damages to lives and properties, disrupted powerservices, and sent families to rescue and evacuation sites. There was, thus, an immediate call to action.

Rotarians from RID 3800, led by BCG Marilou Co,spared no time to respond to the call to assist in the situation.Assistance in forms of food items, bottled waters, clothes, toiletries, blankets, mats, and even services and prayers

abound, courtesy of kind-hearted Rotarians from RID 3800.They did this either in their individual capacities or incollaboration with other Rotary Clubs or other private andpublic institutions, to at least alleviate the plight andsufferings of the victims and show that Rotary truly cares.
