Need For an Ecce Course:

The need for an Early Childhood Care and Education Course (ECCE) was recognized by the National Policy on Education (1986 and revised 1992). By the Government of India, It strongly emphasises the importance of the early years of childhood, and the need for providing early childhood care and education (ECCE) services on a national scale, both to serve as a feeder into primary education and to enable women to join the workforce by providing quality services for the care of their children. One needs trained people with the right perspective about ECCE to work in a child-care centre. It will thus help in achieving the national goal of 'Education for All' by orienting needed personnel for Early Childhood Care and Education. These days, the demand for pre-school education has increased tremendously. It is realized that Early Childhood Care and Education is a strong base for primary education. It is an enrichment course for both working and non-working women. Further, in the context of 'Education for All', Course for Nursery level of one year duration recognised by the N.I.O.S. Ministry of H.RD. Govt. of India. Certification in ECCE. Will be awarded by the N.I.O.S., Govt. of India on qualifying the prescribed subjects. Placement / Employment:

On completion of the course successfully, students can apply to nursery schools, public schools or set up their own nursery schools, play way centers, day care centers. Any person who has successfully completed Secondary (10th)& Sr. secondary school examination (10+2) conducted by

CBSE/ NIOS/other or any State Board of Secondary Education is eligible to enroll for ECCE Course & other courses.2. Age :

a. The lower age limit is 15yrs. There is no upper age limit.

4. Course Fee: Fee will be charged (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually basis).

5. Admission: CUT OFF DATES is given on First Come First Served basis. To regulate the eligibility for the purpose of examination, the cut-off dates will be: 30th June 2013 and 31st December every year.

6. Cancellation Of Admissiona. Your admission will be cancelled and fee will be forfeited on

the following grounds: Incomplete application form.b. Shortage of fee.c. Age below the prescribed limit.d. Lack of required educational qualification.e. Required document of age, qualification anare not attached.f. Any other discrepancyg. Note : Admission once cancelled will not be reconsidered

7. Duration: Duration of all courses is one year. However, a candidate may complete the course within five years of registration as per

rules of SCERT/NCET/NIOS in force from time to time.
