31 Community Halloween 6-7:30 Comm Ctr For kids 12 & under Sponsored by LT Lions Club with library, activities club, & youth group helping
Adult Health & Wellness Clinic on Oct 5 from 8-2 at the Comm Ctr is a great opportunity to assess your health. It is free. See the informational flyer in the newsletter. The LT Lions Club will sponsor the Community Halloween at the Comm Ctr for kids 12 yrs of age & under. It is a fun safe time for the children. Children will be able to participate in many games. Children walk from table to table “trick or treating”. The LT residents are encouraged to bring your Halloween treats to the community center. You can sit at a table and hand out candy to the kids. With your participation, last year was great. Let’s make this year better than ever. It is fun to view the children in their costumes. Even the LT residents who are giving out treats can dress in costumes.

As the sun slowly sets in the west, and it gently pulls the blanket of darkness over the landscape. We can hear the cowboy’s harmonica and cracking fire as he prepares for the end of the day.So also does another season of golf for the masses fade into our memories. However, some will brave the cooler and sometimes cold temperatures and play on.
September was a fun month for Golf, Roxie (my wife) and I hosted the Night Glow 2.0. We had 9 teams sign up and 2 alternate teams. What a great time we had, and we had a glow ball hole in one by David Low. His second ace this year!
On the 2nd Harold and Dana Bradford hosted the Labor day scramble, 14 teams played. We had to brave the beautiful weather, but we got it done. September the 21st, was the last of the LTGA hosted events.
A special thanks to all that hosted and/or helped with this year’s Scrambles. On the golf news side of things, we are still adding trees as our maintenance group provides water for us. Some other things on the way. I will share with you later.
If all goes well we will have our golf association meeting on Sunday evening, October 20th.Watch our marquee!
See You Later My Friends.Roger D. Turner
