INTRODUCTION:

Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JDBIMS),

SNDT Women’s University (SNDT WU), established in 1997 has served the In

dian society by educating a large number of young women to occupy positions

of responsibility in the higher echelons of management.

The stated mission of JDBIMS is, ‘To become a Knowledge Institute in the fiel

d of Management education & application with special reference to women.’

The goals, JDBIMS has set for it to make the mission a reality, are:

1. Academic Leadership – by imparting high quality education, partnering with

other institutions and industries, specifically addressing the needs of women.

2. Corporate Leadership – by striving to create a leadership pipeline of women

managers to occupy the upper echelons of leadership in the Industry; both India

n and Global.

• SNDT Women’s University is the first Women’s university in India as well as in South-East Asia. The University was founded by Maharshi Dr. Dhondo

Keshav Karve in 1916 for a noble cause of Women’s Education. The first five women graduated in 1921 from this University. The University Headquart

emancipation of women.

• JDBIMS was established on August 17, 1997 with the launch of a two year full time Masters’ degree program in Management studies

(MMS), PhD program in Management studies and very intensive part time one year Post graduate diploma courses.

“Illuminati” is a magazine published by JDBIMS twice a year. Illuminati committee has four members who always ensure th

All work and no play makes a person dull, and dullness is something JDBIMS is not acquainted with. So to keep students act

ive, we have a sports committee who conducts various sports for the students.

Public Relations:

Public Relations committee handles JDBIMS web portals, maintaining and updating information on social media sites such a

s Facebook and Instagram, communicating with faculty and writing speeches and articles.

JDBIMS strengthens its industrial connections with students' industrial visits at various industries. The objective of this com

mittee is to provide students with a right blend of theoretical learning and an opportunity to witness how concepts are utilize

JDBIMS has a placement committee consisting of a coordinator and dedicated placement team. Themembers of the team are always on their toes to co-ordinate with the corporate and industry connect wherestudents can find better opportunities. A proper structure for the placements is regularised for the students.

Ingenium – The HR Club:

Ingenium, the HR Club helps the students in developing interpersonal skills which are required to flourish

in the corporate world. This club ensures active participation of the students. Events organised by the club

are Ice – breaker, Caption writing, Team building games and quiz.

Finnascent – The Finance Club:

Finnascent is the finance club formed by the students of the finance department. Its aim is to enhance the

skills and knowledge of the students. The events organised by the clubs are Bizz quiz, Speaker session, Sell

– a – thon and Mock – Stock.

Samvid – The Marketing Club:

Samvid is the marketing club which aims at making a creative person more innovative. There are different

kinds of activities and competitions like logo creation, Marketing Games and some club meetings to discuss

new marketing trends.

to equip its students to be competent and productive at work and therefore, has made internship as a part of its

Masters program.

The main objectives of Summer Internship ( May – June) are:

● To develop a personal work ethic and be able to investigate your career interests and prospective career goals.

● To develop specific skills and knowledge required ones potential career growth.

● To provide a better understanding of the issues that students might confront later.
