WHERE WE COME FROM

In 2005, a group of students from the University of New South Wales

(UNSW) came together to form Vishwaas,

a student body focused on promoting Indian Culture

and Hindu values, beliefs and customs, and their

implementation in daily living.

Vishwaas first began to establish itself after memorable performances at the annual inter universitycharity event called Cultural Night in 2007 and 2008. Ensuing these accomplishments, on 10 th October 2010, the first of many meetings was held for Vishwaas, supporting its transition froma university society to a productions company. Driving this transition was the motivation to setup a charity-Vishwaas Foundation-which would contribute the money raised through VishwaasProductions to the improvement of rural healthcare in India.

The first theatrical play for this new direction was Gandhi-The Power of One, which was brought

to the stage on 1st August 2009.

A huge success, this production won multiple community awards, and raised $8500

for the Medical Students Aid Project (MSAP), a UNSW based society that provides much

needed medical equipment to rural hospitals in the developing world.

On 31st July 2010, Vishwaas Productions once again took to the stage and brought to life The Legend of Asoka to a sold out audience of 900.

Inspired by the goal to bring about positive change, on 13th December 2010,

18 members of Vishwaas traveled to India to see the impact that the money they raised

was having on rural schools and hospitals first hand.

Dubbed Vision on a Mission, it was during this 15-day journey that the Vishwaas team became aware of the plight of the children studying in India's rural schools and instigated a change

in direction for Vishwaas.

We believe that offering generic sponsorship packages do not allow

for your business to gain thenecessary exposure it can from a

high quality event such as Charity Never Dies.

Instead, one of our Sponsorship Reps can liaise with your team and draft a package

catered specifically for yourbusiness.

... but provide a deeper personal satisfaction to all

our supporters that their generosity is truly

being appreciated.

Our vision is to tackle grass roots educationproblems in rural India. However we do not believe in simply handing over a cheque to an organisation working on the ground in this area. Our research team has the responsibility of finding potential partner organisations work-ing in rural India and the projects they are involved with which need assistance from bodies such as Vishwaas.

Once the team has made a selection on the projects that Vishwaas will be funding, they will continue to followthe project until the deliverables are met. We feel this approach will allow us to not only havecomplete transparency with movement of funds, ...
