The N’Seke power plant ensure 100% of the energy generation in the East region of the DRC

(Lubumbashi region, important mining activity): 1 unit broke down due to the deterioration of a

turbo-alternator transmission shaft.

Achievements / Activity: Implementation of an emergency solution in order to deliver the new shaft (30 tons):

Project Background

A turbine-pump generator of this Algerian plant (Wilaya of Mila) burned following an incorrect

operation. Because the plant supplies local agriculture and the drinking water of the urban area

of Constantine, a new generator had to be delivered in a very short time.

Achievements / Activity: - Implementation of an innovative solution by secured transport scheme via Skikda port

- Two travels in Algeria to meet Customs Administration and secure clearance time

- Operation in less than 1 month (Poland / Algeria via Switzerland)

Result:

Delivery for commissioning under the expected lead-time.

Cost reduction for trailer waiting-time and port charges by an anticipated customs clearance

before vessel’s arrival (10 minutes only for Customs visit D41 and clearance by a bank draft in less

than 2 hours.
