DescriptionThe scene is of a traditional viking hall. I wanted to stick to period
appropriate Nordic architecture to capture the feel of a long house, similar to the kind of things you would find in a game like Skyrim. I wanted to create a dichotomous feel to the hall: warmth in the dead of winter. Using cool and warm colors I was able to create a feeling of a cozy yet functional hall that looks as though it is being visited in the early morning of a January day. 90% of all the furniture and architecture is wood based (as is appropriate for the style) with the exception of the cast iron kettle. I thought a copper kettle might look interesting but, after doing some research, I realized that copper would not be factually accurate. I am very proud of how the scene turned out but I would still like to add some more life and personality to the space with additional props, weapons and armor. Also, some of the models need to be reworked.
