Importance Of Soft Skills & Communication SkillsUnder Tarunotsva, a programme on soft skills was conducted for senior students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Fatehgarh Sahib by Mrs. Shveta Sharma (counsellor) and a lecture on communication skills was delivered by Mrs. Kamalpreet Kaur on 22-04-2017 in computer Lab. They told about Self Management skills which include self-confidence, Stress management, Emotion Regulation and Patience .They also explained about Team work Skills, Inter-Personal Relationship Skills, Leadership Skills and Negotiation Skills.

CAREER IN ENGINEERINGUnder Tarunotsva Senior students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Reona Ucha ,Fatehgarh Sahib visted Baba Banda Singh Bahudur Politechnical College on 27 April,2017 to learn more about Science Technology, Engineering , Maths, Careers through various hands on projects. Students met with research assistants in Robotics Labs which specializes in creating Robotic Rehabilitation devices to improve the quality of life for the disabled and elderly .

CREATIVITY AT ART EXHIBITIONUnder Tarunotsva an exhibition on art was organized in Kendriya Vidyalaya Reona Ucha ,Fatehgarh Sahib on 28 April,2017. More than 300 greeting cards on Martyrs were exhibited. A number of painted ports were also the main attraction of the exhibition which was done by the senior students.

SENSITIZATION REGARDING ENVIRONMENT ON EARTH DAY

Under Tarunotsva Senior students were sensitized about how to save mother nature. They were told to plant more and more trees as ozone layer is depleting day by day. Students were also asked to follow the three R’s that is Reuse, Recycle and Reduce in daily life. A practice session was conducted about the separation of bio-degradable waste and non-bio-degradable waste. Students were also made aware about the hazards of using plastics.

At the end students took pledge to plant a tree on their birthday.

CAREER COUNSELLING OF X CLASS STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS

Under Tarunotsva, a programme on Career Counselling for X Class students and their parents was held on 7 April,2017. Experts from different fields like Engineering, Polytechnical and Guidance & Counselling shared their views and guided the parents about different opportunities.

DISCUSSION ABOUT MEDICAL PROFESSION Under Tarunotsva Dr. Navpreet Kaur Medical Officer from Civil Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib visited the Vidyalaya and guided students of X Class regarding all the medical courses available after X Class. She also told about career opportunities in medical stream.
