Conferences Organized in Science
Since 1986 I have co-‐organized the annual All-‐Iowa Glass Conference with Professor Steve Martin at Iowa State University and Professor Mario Affatigato at Coe College. Also, I co-‐organized with Dr. A.C. Wright of Reading University (UK) the Second International Conference on Borate Glasses, Melts, and Crystals held at Abingdon, UK (1996). Professor Affatigato and I organized the Fourth International Conference on Borate Glasses Crystals and Melts which was held at Coe College in July 2002. In 2008 and 2012 I was the national organizer of the 2008 (Fermilab) and 2012 national (Orlando and KSC) Sigma Pi Sigma Quadrennial Congresses, the only national meeting for physics undergraduates. I am the co-‐chair of the 2016 Congress to be held in San Jose, CA. Sigma Pi Sigma is the national honor society in physics.

Numismatics
Articles with primary emphasis on numismatics of the Second World War have been published. These works have appeared in The Numismatist (the journal of the American Numismatic Association), The International Bank Note Society Journal, Paper Money (the journal of the Society of Paper Money Collectors), and The Shekel (the journal of the American Israel Numismatic Association). From 1990 to 2007 I served as the editor of the International Bank Note Society Journal. In 1999 and 2004 I was named a Presidential Awardee by the American Numismatic Association.
