The first time you use VIDAS PC it is important thatyou create a user name in Windows NT or haveone created for you by an administrator using aspecific procedure.
After 30 minutes of inactivity, VIDAS® automaticallyrequests you to re-enter your user name and password. The following screen appears.

- Patient: enter the patient’s barcode or name in the Sample ID field
- Calibration/Controls: automatic: when a patient is createdmanual: enter ‘S’ in the Sample ID field.

The list can be sorted by test, sample or name byclicking on the appropriate column heading.

To delete an analysis request for a patient, controlor calibrator, transfer them from the PredefinedSection to the Job List,
To modify an analysis request for a patient beforerunning the series of analyses, select the patientfrom the Predefined Section or the Job List.
Make the necessary modifications,
1. Click on the number of the Predefined Sectionto be run,
the first compartment is reserved.
2. To use the compartment marked URG,click on it.
then select the analysis requests for the patients,controls or calibrator you want to delete and putthem in the Bin.
3. Automatic Reservation (choose when connected)
A box will appear asking you to confirm whetheryou really want to delete them.
