Creating 3Dpdf mockups from zoning

• Land use plans still mainly made for pros, makes little or no sense to the public

• Difficult to see the consequenses of decisions.

• 3D helps, but is expensive and time consuming

• Want to see the effect of parameter changes instantly, with little or no manual effort.

• A plan affects it’s neighbours, so we need to see how the new zoning area fits into the excistinglandscape

• 1. Create the surrounding areas(some use of 3’rd party software)• 2. Place the land use plan into the terrain• 3. Cut building areas according to property lines, building limits etc• 4. Create buildings based on area type, utilization, height limitations etc• 5. Add vegetation, textures, power lines…..• 6. Write PDF(or whatever 3D format you want).
