Being able to save a project 40 000 hours using only one workspace!The SThe Stockholm Bypass is one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects ever and the first project where the Swedish Transport Administraon have demanded BIM throughout the project. The size of the project, the number of actors and the varying computer skills mean that the need and way of working with digital models and data varies greatly. By reusing data, automang processes and visualizing data, we can meet these needs and simplify the working methods. The presentaon will address three cases where FME has been used to improve and streamline technical review during the construcon period.

Future plans if possible include using FME as an integraon engine for administrave process management systems and further automang different processes in the city planning department.

FME saves lifes part IIFFor years, speeding has been recognized as one of the main contribung factors to deaths on our roads. Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA), a system for warning drivers if they exceed the current speed limit, will have a huge impact on traffic safety. But how do the providers of navigaon system and ISA in cars get up to date informaon on traffic regulaon in their data bases that covers Europe? This queson has been addressed by the EC project TN-ITS which goal is to establish a data supply chain for traffic regulaons from public authories to the system providers. One challenge is the fact that the road links in the authories and the map prproviders databases do not have a mutual agreed idenficaon on objects, and to make it even worse, their geometry differs. The soluon comes with algorithms like OpenLR and AGORA-C and a possible workflow that incorporates FME will be demonstrated during the speech.

Automatic dataflow from multiple discipline models in road Automatic dataflow from multiple discipline models in road projects to Cityplanner with use of FME.Sigbjørn HeSigbjørn Herstad will show how you can use FME to get data from different disciplines in a road project. For instance, architects, road engineers, plan engineering and several other disciplines. With FME this data can be converted to a format that Cityplanner understands. This makes it possible to view data without requiring different Desktop soware specific for each discipline. This can also be automated so the model gets refreshed every me a discipline updates their mode.
