This book is dedicated to my precious and beloved mother,

Millicent, who allowed me to go to Sunday school and church

where I first learned about Jesus and God; also to my wonderful

sister, Beverly, who has been my prayer partner for many years.

One of the promises we have been praying for our family is

Isaiah 54:7” No weapon that is formed against you (us) will

succeed. You (we) will condemn every tongue that will rise

against you (us) in judgment. This is the heritage of the

servants of the LORD, and their acts of loving kindness are of

Me, says the Lord.”

God will fight our battles and defeat our enemies!

PREFACE

God has been encouraging me to pray the promises He has

given me. It is not just enough to read them but pray them

into being. Just like the parable of the sower and the seeds in

Mathew 13, the enemy will try to rob us of what God has for

us if we are not careful. We, like Joshua, should meditate on

the word of God day and night. By doing this, the word gets

into our hearts and not just stays in our heads

“Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my

path.” (Psalm 119:105) We have to get the word of God

inside us and let God guide us with His truth. He cannot fail.

There are many more promises in God’s word, but the ones I

share in this booklet are some of the ones God has used and

is still using to get me through a trying period in my life. He

gave me Jeremiah 30:2 to write the words He gave me in a

book. So I am sharing them with you.

In Psalm 138:2 the psalmist wrote, “I shall worship

toward Your holy Temple and praise Your name for Your

loving kindness and for Your truth, for You have

magnified Your word above Your name.” God has

magnified His word even above His name. That means He

is bound by His word. He will do what He says He will do.

He cannot lie. (See Numbers 23:19)

God also promises us in Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain

and the snow come down from heaven and do not return

there, but water the earth and make it bring forth and bud

so it will give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so

My word will go forth out of My mouth: it will not return

to Me empty-handed, but it will accomplish that which I

please and it will succeed wherever I send it.”

When you pray the word of God you need to personalize it.

Put your name in some of the promises and trust God to fulfill

His promises in your life.

Romans 8:35,37-39

What will separate us from the love of the Messiah? Affliction

or distress or persecution or famine or destitution or peril or

death by sword? But in all these things we would have a glorious

victory through the One Who loved us. For I have been

persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers,

nor present circumstances, nor things coming, nor powers, nor

height, nor depth, nor any other creation will be able to

separate us from the love of God, which is in Messiah Y’shua our

Lord.

Romans 8:28

And we know that, for all who love God, He works all things for

good, for all those who are called according to His purpose.

Philippians 1:6

Because I have been persuaded this same thing, that the One

Who began a good work in you will continue on until the Day of

Messiah Y”shua.

My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they are following

Me, and I am giving them eternal life, and they would not ever

die and no on is able to seize them out of My hand. My Father

Who has given them to Me is greater than all, and no one is able

to seize them from the hand of the Father.

I have been crucified with Messiah: then I no longer live, but

Messiah lives in me: but now although I live in the flesh, I live by

faith in the Son of God, the One Who loves me and has given

Himself over on my behalf.

Ephesians 6:10-18

10. From now on you must right away become strong in the Lord

and in the power of His strength. 11. You must continually be

clothed with the full armor of God to enable you to stand

against the strategies of the devil: 12. because the wrestling

for us is not with blood and flesh, but with the rulers, with the

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon that is formed against you will succeed. You will

Behold, I have given you authority to trample on snakes and

I shall be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your

adversaries.

Your hand will be lifted up over your adversaries and all your

enemies will be cut off.

Luke 21:18-19

But not a hair of your head would be lost. In your perseverance

you will acquire your eternal lives.

Psalm 121:7-8

The LORD will preserve you from all chaos. He will preserve your

eternal life.

The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in from this

time forth and even for evermore.

1 Corinthians 10:13

A trial has not taken you except what is common to mankind: but

God is faithful, Who will not permit you to be tested beyond

what you are able, and therefore He will then in the test make

you able to patiently bear the way out.

Jeremiah 15:20-21

Then I will make you a fortified bronze wall to this people, and

they will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you,

for I AM with you to save you and to deliver you , says the LORD.

And I shall deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I shall

redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.

He Who does go before you. He will be with you. He will not fail

you or forsake you. Do not be in awe! Do not be dismayed!

Psalm 40:15

Those who seek after my life to destroy it will be ashamed and

they will be put to shame together. Those who wish me evil will

be driven backward and put to shame.

Psalm 21:12


For they intended evil against you. They imagined an evil plan,

which they are not able to do.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous one, but the LORD

delivers him out of them all.

Psalm 55:19


He has delivered my life in peace from the battle that was

against me, for there were many who endeavored with me.

Deuteronomy 9:3

Understand therefore this day that the LORD your God is

He Who goes over before you. He will destroy them like a

consuming fire , and He will bring them down before your face

so will drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the LORD

has said to you.

2 Chronicles 32:7-8a

For the king of Assyria or for the entire multitude that is with

him, for there are more with us than with him! An arm of flesh is

One man of you will chase a thousand , for the LORD your God,

He is fighting for you, as He has promised you. Take good heed

therefore to yourselves, that you love the LORD your God.

Through You we will push down our enemies. Through Your name

we will tread those under who rise up against us.

But You have saved us from our enemies and have put to shame

Joshua 10:8

And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not be in awe of them! I have

delivered them into your hand. Not a man of them will stand

before you.

Numbers 14:9b

…There defense has departed from them and the LORD is with

us. Do not be in awe of them!

Jeremiah 30:16-17a

Therefore all those who devour you will be devoured and all your

adversaries, each one of them, will go into captivity and they

that loot you will be looted, and all that prey upon you I shall

give for a prey. For I shall restore health to you and I shall heal

tremble! Do not be terrified before them! The LORD your God

is He Who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies,

to save you.

Isaiah 43:1-3a

But now thus says the LORD Who created you, O Jacob, and He

Who formed you, O Israel, Do not be in awe! For I have

redeemed you, I have called you by your name! You are Mine.

When you pass through the waters, I shall be with you, and

through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk

through the fire, you will not be burned, neither will the flame

kindle upon you. For I AM the LORD your God, the HOLY One of

Israel, your Deliverer…

Isaiah 35:3b

…. Be strong! Do not be in awe! Behold, your God will come with

vengeance, a recompense. He will come and save you.

Psalm 21:9


Your hand will find out all Your enemies. Your right hand will find

out those who hate You.

2 Peter 2:9

The LORD knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to

keep unjust ones for a day of judgment when they will be

punished.

Psalm 105:24

And He increased His people greatly and made them stronger

than their enemies.

Psalm 106:10

And He saved them from the one that hated them, and

redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

Psalm 27:5-6

5. For in the time of trouble He will hide me in His pavilion. He

will hide me in the secret place of His Tent. He will set me up

upon a rock.

6. And now my head will be lifted up above mine enemies all

around me. Therefore I shall offer sacrifices in His Tent with

the LORD.

Do not be in awe of them! For I AM with you to deliver you, says

the LORD. For, behold, I have made you this day a fortified city,

an iron pillar, and brazen walls against the whole land, against

the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and

against the people of the land. And they will fight against you,

“…Do not be in awe! Stand still! See the salvation of the LORD,

which He will show you today, for the Egyptians whom you have

seen today, you will see them again no more forever. The LORD

will fight for you, and you will hold your peace.”

2 Chronicles 20:15b, 17a, 22

…Thus says the LORD to you, DO not be in awe! Do not be

dismayed because of this great multitude! For the battle is not

yours, but God’s. You will not fight in this battle: set yourselves!

Stand still and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah

and Jerusalem! Do not be in awe! Do not be dismayed!...For the

Lord will be with you. And when they began to sing and to praise,

the LORD set ambushes against the children of Ammon, Moab,

For You will light my lamp: the LORD my God will lighten my

They have prepared a net for my steps….; they have dug a pit

Psalm 23

1. The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall lack nothing.

2. He will cause me to lie down in green pastures. He will lead me

beside the still waters.

3. He will restore my soul. He will guide me in the paths of

righteousness for His name’s sake.

4. Yea, when I am walking through the valley of the shadow of

death, I will be awed by no evil, for You are with me. Your rod

and Your staff, they will comfort me.

5.You will prepare, set, a table before me in the presence of my

enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My cup is running

over.

6.Surely goodness and loving kindness will pursue me all the days

of my life and I will dwell in the House of the LORD forever.

2 Timothy 4:18

The LORD will rescue me from every evil work and will save me

for His heavenly kingdom: to Whom be the glory forever and

ever, amen.

Psalm 18:40


For You have girded me with strength for the battle. You have

subdued under me those who rose up against me.

Isaiah 35:10

And the ransomed of the LORD will return and come to Zion

with singing and everlasting joy will be upon their heads. They

shall obtain gladness and joy and sorrow and sighing will flee

away.

Isaiah 40:4-5

Every valley will be raised and every mountain and hill will be

made low, and the crooked will be made straight, and the

mountain peaks a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be

your Help, says the LORD, and your Redeemer, the Holy One of

Israel. 15. Behold, I shall make you a new sharp threshing

instrument having teeth. You will thresh the mountains, and

beat them small, and will make the hills like chaff. 16. You will

fan them and the wind will carry them away and the whirlwind

will scatter them and you will rejoice enthusiastically in the

LORD, you will glory in the Holy One of Israel.

Psalm 149:5-9

5. The pious will be joyful in glory: they will sing aloud upon their

sword in their hand 7. to execute vengeance upon the nations

and punishments upon the peoples, 8. to bind their kings with

chains and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9. to execute upon

hold in awe, whom should I fear? The LORD is the strength

2. When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon

me to me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

3. Though an army should camp against me, my heart will not

fear. Though war should rise against me, in this I shall be

confident.

4. One thing I have asked the LORD, that I desire: that I would

dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to

behold the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in His Temple.

5. For in the time of trouble He will hide me in His pavilion. He

will hide me in the secret place of His Tent. He will set me

upon a rock.

6. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies all around

me. Therefore I will sacrifices in His Tent with trumpet

sounds of joy. I shall sing, yea, I shall sing praises to the

LORD.

Psalm 35:26

Those who rejoice in my hurt will be ashamed and brought to

confusion together. Those who magnify themselves against me

will be clothed with shame and dishonor.

Psalm 41:2-3, 12-14

2. Blessed is he who considers the poor: the LORD will deliver

him in time of trouble.

3. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive. He will be

Daniel 6:23a

My God has sent His angel and has shut the lions’ mouths, so

they have not hurt me….

Micah 4:13

Arise! Thresh, O daughter of Zion! For I shall make your horn

iron and I shall make your hooves bronze, and you will beat in

pieces many peoples and you will confiscate their grain for the

LORD and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.

Zechariah 10:5

And they will be like mighty men who tread down their enemies

in the mire of the streets in the battle, and they will fight

because the LORD is with them and the riders on horses will be

shamed.

2 Chronicles 27:6

So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways

before the LORD his God.

Isaiah 10:5

And it will be in that day, his burden will be taken away from off

your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke will

be destroyed because of your robustness.

Isaiah 59:19

So they will revere the name of the LORD from the west and

His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy comes in

like a river, the Spirit of the LORD will make him flee.

Matthew 13:23

And the one sown upon good ground, this is the one who hears

the message and understands, who indeed bears fruit and makes

on the one hand one hundred times, and on another sixty and

another thirty.

Matthew 13:45

“Again the Kingdom of the Heavens is like a merchant seeking

goodly pearls: and when he found one very precious pearl, he

left and sold everything he had and he bought it.”

And blessed is she who believed that there will be a fulfillment

for what has been spoken to her by the LORD.

Romans 6:11, 14

And in the same way count yourselves to be dead indeed to sin,

but living for God in Messiah Y’shua. For sin will not rule over you:

for you are not under legalism but grace.

Romans 12:20-21

But, “If your enemy hungers, you must continually feed him: if

he thirsts, you must continually give him drink: for doing this

you will heap coals of fire on his head.” I do not overcome evil by

doing evil but I overcome evil by doing good.

1 Corinthians 16:9

For a great and effective door has opened to me, but there are

many opposed.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Truly our affliction for the moment is insignificant beyond all

measure and proportion into eternal fullness , a weight of glory

eternally working out in us; we do not notice what we are seeing

but the things we do not see: for the things we see are

temporary, but the things we do not see are eternal.


For though we walk in the flesh we are not serving as soldiers

according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not

fleshly but powerful in God for the tearing down of strongholds,

tearing down reasonings, even every high thing being lifted up

against the knowledge of God, and taking captive every thought

in obedience to Messiah, and being ready to punish every

disobedience , when your obedience would be achieved.

Galatians 5:1

Messiah set us free for the freedom from legalism: so you must

stand firm and not be subject again to a yoke of bondage.

1 Thessalonians 5:5, 9-10

For you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night

and not of darkness. Because God did not put us here to be

subject to wrath but to gain salvation through our Lord Y ’shua

Messiah, the one who died instead of us, so that whether we

would be awake or we would sleep we will live together with Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-24

16. Always be rejoicing, 17. you must pray unceasingly, 18. you

must continually give thanks in everything: for this is the will of

God in Messiah Y’shua for you. 19. You must habitually not ever

quench the Spirit, 20. you must continually not ever despise

prophecy, 21. but you must constantly prove all things; you must

incessantly hold fast the good, 22. you must faithfully keep

yourselves away from every form of evil. 23. And may the God

of Peace Himself purify you all completely in all respects, and

would keep your spirit and inner being and body blamelessly

Messiah. 24. The One Who calls you is faithful, Who also will do

what He has said.

Hebrews 4:12

For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any

two-edged sword and pierces until separation of breath of life

and spirit, of joints and marrow and passing judgments on the

thoughts and understandings of your heart.

Hebrews 14:16

Therefore we should come to the throne of grace with boldness,

so that we could take mercy and we would find grace in

well-timed help.

Hebrews 10:39

But we are not of those who shrink back but of those who are

faithful in preserving life.

1 Peter 1:7

So the testing of your faith will be more valuable than gold,

which perishes even though it is tested by fire, and your faith

would be found in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of

Y’shua Messiah.

But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a

people that has become God’s property, so that you would

proclaim the manifestation of divine power” of the One Who

called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

you, which is for a trial in you as if a strange thing were

happening in you , but rather in so far as you are sharing in the

sufferings of Messiah , rejoice, so that also in the revelation of

fragrance of the knowledge of Him: because we are the aroma

of Messiah to God among those who are saved and among those

who are lost to eternal misery.

Hebrews 6:18-19

So that two unchangeable events, in which it is impossible for

God to lie, we, those who have taken refuge, would have strong

encouragement to take hold of the hope that is set before us:

which we have as an anchor of life, both firm and secure and

since the hope enters the inner of the veil.
