Dear Brother Knights and Family, As we jump into the new fraternal year, I’d like to thank the council for your confidence in electing me as Grand Knight of Council 3548, The Best in the South. I extend my sincere appreciation to PGK Richard Klotz and his staff for having served admirably during the past year in full commitment to our principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity. I look forward to the opportunities and challenges of the upcoming year and I know that with the help of my staff and the council, it will be another successful year. Bingo is a great event within our Council. It brings family and friends together for a good time and that is what we are about. Truth be told, the teams are a little thin. We need some help with the callers, the early shifts, the bingo teams, and the Instants. If you have some time, talk to the Bingo Managers and see how you can help out. Special thanks go out to PGK Holmes, PGK Hurd, and Dave Gibson for working over the picnic tables. Also, thanks to JP and Jerry Carmody for their hands on help in supporting our Brother Knights. Remember always to keep in your prayers: Fr. McGivney, our troops, and all the sick and/ or in distress Brothers and family. Go to Mass and pray the Rosary often. If Admiral Halsey were our Chaplain, he would say “Pray hard, pray fast, pray often.” UPCOMING EVENTS FOR JULY: July 4th – Council Picnic 12-4pm July 20th – Ocean View Seafood Festival 12-7pm For more events, please see the calendar pages. If you have any questions, feel free to ask any of the new officers. I look forward to working with my newly elected officers and all the Council members over the com- ing year.
