Vector Network Analyzer Extension Modules
VDI’s VNA Extenders provide high performance frequency extension of vector network analyzers into the THz range. Models are currently available for coverage from 50GHz-1,100GHz, with additional bands under development. These modules combine high test port power and superb dynamic range to offer unparalleled performance. VDI’s VNA Extension Modules are compatible with all modern network analyzers and use LO & RF signals below 43.5GHz. Contact VDI to discuss VNA and Extender configurations that will yield the best performance for your application.
These extenders have been integrated with variety probe stations for on-wafer testing. Dominion MicroProbes has recently developed on-wafer test probes for >500GHz that are compatible with VDI’s VNA Extenders. When used in conjunction with VDI’s PM4 power meter, power leveling and sweeping are possible with these modules. Available options include increased test port power (selected bands), micrometer driven attenuators, reduced input frequency (<24GHz or <20GHz), increased cable length and waveguide based calibration kits.
