Survey shows more than 90% home buyers prefer vastu shastra compliant property

A survey conducted by a leading property portal shows that around 93% of Indian home buyers prefer buying homes built on the lines of vastu shastra. The survey was conducted in the cities of Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Patna. It found that four out of every five home buyers are interested in knowing about the vastu of the property – that too even before physically checking the place.

The survey also found that around 56% of the consumers share the belief that the entrance of the house is a very important aspect of the property, and thereby it has to be according to the vastu rules. Apart from the direction of the entrance, the next important thing for home buyers is ventilation and flow of energy. The surprising part of the survey is that nearly 87% of respondents agreed that they would rather compromise on the size of the house, but not on the vastu compliance.

When it comes to regionwise analysis of the research, it was found that requests of vastu compliancy is highest in South India, that too from the cities of Bangalore and Chennai in particular. After South, North, East and West sees such requests in the same order. When analysed from the point of view of profession – businessmen are on the top of the list followed by the service class with small-time traders and workers standing at the bottom of the list.
