PROFILE OF AMBAPANI

• Population: 2005 people, 310 families;• BPL families: 120;• Cows purchased-with bank loan: 3 with Dairy loan: 37;• Toliets: 300, complete: 10;• ‘Vihirs’: 10, identified for construction: 6;• Gobar Gas plants: 20 reqd;

• Demand for mango grafts, saag,kelai and sevanti saplings from 150 farmers.

• Ambapani’s distance from Vansda: abt 15 kms.

COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAMME

• Community Health Workers (CHW)• Child immunization, family planning, nutrition &

health for pregnant women & mothers, sanitation, nutrition, rehydration, blindness prevention, common ailments, water purification, health camps, health education, coord with PHCs, hospitalisation help etc..

• Quarterly Reporting• Rs. 10,000/village/year.

Drinking water ‘Vihirs’• Thrust: Water-shed development;• ‘vihir’• Percolation tanks.• 6 vihirs identified.• 10-15 feet deep and 10-12 feet in dia.• All labour on SH model.• Material like cement, bricks, sand etc given by

HOSPITAL UPGRADATION PROGRAMME

• The SSRB Eye hosp req an Auto-refractometer with Keratometer;
