chain consists of content creation (and conversion from analog to digital storage), content distribution, and content reception.
Rich media such as movies and video are being shot using digital technology. Editing of the content is done with digital non-linear editing technology.

Viewing Of Content A motion picture rating system
is designated to classify films with regard to suitability for audiences in terms of issues such as violence, substance abuse, profanity, disrespect or other types of mature content. A particular issued rating is called a certification.
In India, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is responsible for certifying films meant for public exhibition.

The Censor Board presently gives four categories of certificates, namely:
U: Unrestricted Public Exhibition throughout India,
A: Public exhibition restricted to adults above 18 years only,
U/A: Unrestricted public exhibition with parental guidance for children below the age of 12
S: Exhibition to restricted audience such as doctors etc.
