Vacation Bible School 2020 Cedar Grove Baptist Church “Concrete and Cranes” “Building on the Love of Jesus” “I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 Dates: To Be Announced 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. / Lunch served at 12:30 P.M. daily. We have a very exciting VBS program at Cedar Grove Baptist Church this year. This year we will have an amazing time learning about construction and the foundation that Jesus has laid for us. So, let’s look up --- way up. That is where we are headed. Where I-beams float effortlessly high overhead, carefully guided into place by powerful machinery. Where steel and glass converge in a colossal design that appears to almost touch the sky. These magnificent structures were elaborately designed and intricately built. Yet they all began the same way – with concrete and cranes, rivets and rebar, bulldozers and backhoes; and most importantly, A SOLID FOUNDATION. This summer kids will don their hard hats and head out to the construction site to discover that skyscrapers are not the only things that need a rock-solid foundation. During VBS, kids will discover that Jesus’ love provides a foundation that will last. When the storms of life come, they will need the One who will be with them to the end of the age. When anxiety sets in, they will need the assurance that true worth comes from being a child of God, not from what other people think about them. When they feel unworthy, they can remember that Jesus loved them enough to die for them. They will learn to be wise builders who continue in what they have learned and firmly believe. And they will discover that He who began a good work will be faithful to carry it on to completion. We are all a work in progress. Life is a hard hat zone. But just wait until you see what God can do! Lunch will be provided daily, for all children, and our day will begin with the High Steel Worship Rally that gets everyone fired up for a day learning about Jesus. Kids will then be able to reinforce what they learn in the Worship Rally by visiting: Excavator Missions, Bulldozer Crafts, Wrecking Ball Rec., Jackhammer Music, and the Food Truck Snacks. Come join us! All you have to do is grab your hard hat, your tools and your Bible, and come along. VBS is very important, as it is a ministry designed to reach people of all ages (specifically for us, our children), leading them to know and respond to Jesus Christ as led by the Holy Spirit. “I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

Dates: To Be Announced 1:00 to 5:00 P.M.

Where I-beams float effortlessly high over-head, carefully guided into place by powerful machinery. Where steel and glass converge in a colos-sal design that appears to almost touch the sky. These magnificent structures were elaborately de-signed and intricately built.

VBS is a fun-filled, spiritual adventure that provides concentrated Bible study and encourages real-life appli-cation.

In the coming months I will be seeking volunteers to serve as Foremen (teachers, helpers and all other support staff), as well as helpers in all those areas. I have been very blessed, in the past to have wonderful people step forward to serve in this capacity. Our program is going to be exciting and we will be there to guide our little “construction workers” through the Bible and help them to build a strong foundation for their lives. Come and be a part of that.

If you are willing and able to serve, in any capacity, please contact me and we will find the per-fect spot for you. Come join us for “Concrete and Cranes” where we will be “Building on the Love of Jesus!”
