Using Learning Place

To access Learning Place: www.learningplace.eq.edu.au

Username and password are student network logon.

edStudio

Studios are drag and drop creative authoring spaces for staff and students. Staff and students can collaborate in the Studio and use multimedia sourced from either an edTube Album or the Learning Place.

Your Studios are those with which you are associated as an owner, participant, or reader. These display on the Studios page.

Step 1 – Find your Studios

1. Go to the Learning Place homepage www.learningplace.eq.edu.au and select Student Space:

2. Select My Learning Space.

3. Select Studios from the left-hand navigation of My Learning Space.

4. Your studios are listed on this page. Click on the studio you want to use.

Editing your edStudio Page

You can only make changes to a page when you have been given editing rights. If you do not see the Design button at the top of the page, you do not have editing rights.

1. Click Design

2. Click Add

3. Select the Basic Tab

Using  the  Drop  Box  1. Click  the  Drop  Box  

           2. Click  Select  

     3. Find  the  file  you  

want  to  upload  and  then  click  open  

     

   

4. Wait  for  the  file  to  load  

   

5. Once  the  file  has  loaded  it  will  be  listed  

edTube:  How  do  I  upload  files  to  my  Album?  

edTube  is  a  multimedia  sharing  gallery  where  we  can  store  audio,  video  and  images  in  an  Album.  Once  files  are  stored  in  an  Album,  they  can  then  be  used  in  an  edStudio.  

Steps:  

1. Log  in  to  The  Learning  Place    

2. Select  My  Learning  Space      

3. Select  Albums  from  the  My  Learning  Space  navigation  bar.      

 

 

 

 

 

4. Select  Upload  files  for  the  relevant  Album.    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Select  the  checkbox  if  you  agree  to  comply  with  the  terms  and  conditions  for  publishing  content  in  edTube.    

6. Click  the  Select  button.          

 

 

 

7. Locate  the  file  you  need.  

8. Select  the  file.  

9. Select  Open  

 

 

10. Add  a  tag  if  needed.  This  will  help  you  search  for  the  file  in  the  future.  

11. Click  NEXT  

 

         

   12. You  can  change  the  

title  of  the  file,  add  tags  and  a  description  and  copyright  information  if  required.  

 

13.  When  you  are  satisfied  with  all  details  select  Back  to  Album.  

14.  You  will  need  to  wait  for  your  teacher  to  approve  the  file  before  it  is  available  in  the  album.
