• Inspectyourarrowstoinsurethattheyarestraight,undamagedandthateachnockisingoodcondition.Acrackednockcanbreakwhenfiredfromthebowandcausethebowto“dryfire”resultinginpossibleinjurytothearcheranddamagetothebow.Dry-firingisdrawingandreleasingthebowstringwithoutanarrowonthestring.
• Whenpurchasingarrowsforyourbow,consulttheselectionchartfromthearrowmanufacturerandselectthecorrectarrowforyourapplication.Alwaysuseanarrowthatisatleast5grainsperpoundofpeakbowweight.Failuretodosocouldcausepersonalinjuryanddamagetoyourbow.

1. Removethesetscrewsfromthebaseusinga1/16”hexwrench.2. InstalltheBackstop™intothethreadedholebelowthe griponthestring-facingsideofthebow.3. ExtendtheBackstop™untilitmakescontactwiththestring.Markthestring¼”above and¼”belowwhereitmakescontactwiththestring.RemovetheBackstop™and addservingtothatareaofthestring.ReinstalltheBackstop™.4. CaM adjustMents Cam ORIEntatIOn: Oncamswithorientationmarks,areferencemarkisfoundtoindicateanapproximateorientation.Thislineisforreferenceonlyandismeanttogiveapproximateorientationonlyandmayvarybetweenbowmodels.Theorientationofthecamsmaybechangedslightlybytwistingoruntwistingthestringorcable.Ifattachingthestringtothe“+”orthe“-“post,theorientationmarkswillnotbealignedwiththecable.DRaw LEnGth: aLL mODULaR CamS (EXCEPt SU Cam)Tochangethedrawlengthin1”increments,themodulemustbechanged.SeeyourlocalPSEdealerforinformationonhowtoobtainareplacementmodule.NOTE:somemodulescanbechangedwithoutabowpress.Topandbottommodulesmustbethesamesizedesignation(thephysicalsizemayvary)anddrawstoppositionmustcorrespond.Forminorchangesindrawlength,thebowmustbeplacedinasuitablebowpressandtensionrelievedfromthestringandcable.Thestringsideofthecammayhaveadditionalposts.Movingthestringfromthepostwiththedottothepostwiththe“+”willincreasedrawbyapproximately¼”.Movingthestringfromthepostwiththedottothepostwiththe“-“willdecreasedrawbyapproximately¼”.

Theinnercamsystemallowsdrawlengthadjustmentsoveraprescribedrangewithoutputtingthebowinabowpress.Therearetwotypesofinnercamsystems:discretesettinginnercamsandfullyadjustableinnercams.
Discretesettinginnercamshavetheadjustmentscrewsgoingthroughaspecificholeintheinnercamandthreadingintothecam.Thescrewsneedtobecompletelyremovedtomakeadjustments.The“A”settingisthelongestdrawlengthforthatbowanddrawlengthsgetshorterasyouprogressdownthealphabet(AtoB,BtoC,etc.)
Fullyadjustableinnercamshavetheadjustmentscrewsslidinginatrack.Thisallowsforahalfinchsettingontheinnercam.Tomakeadjustments,loosenbothoftheadjustmentscrews(screwswiththelockwashers)2fullturns.Rotatetheinnercamuntilthe3marks(oneontheinnercam,oneoneachsideoftheinnercamslot)arealignedwithoneanother.Astraightedgecanhelptoaccuratelysetthealignment.The“A”settingisthelongestfullinchdrawlengthforthatbow(theremaybeahalfinchsettinglongerthan“A”)anddrawlengthsgetshorterasyouprogressdownthealphabet(AtoB,BtoC,etc.)
Incaseswherethereisaninnercamonboththetopandbottomcam,bothcamsmustbesetinthesameletterpositionforthebowtotuneandshootproperly.Incaseswherethereisaseparatedrawstop,thedrawstopmustbemovedtotheholemarkedwiththelettercorrespondingtotheinnercamsetting.

StOP aDjUStmEntS: DRaw StOP:Thepositionofthedrawstopmustmatchthesizeofthemodule.Forexample,ifthecamisequippedwithanumber7module,thedrawstopmustbeplacedinoneofthedrawstopholesmarkedwitha“7”.Iftheinnercamisinthe“B”setting,thestopmustbeinthe“B”position.Certainhybridcamshavetopandbottomstops.Theycanbeshotwithbothstopsforaharder“wall”orwithonlythetopstopforasofter“wall”.Nevershoothybridcamswiththetwostopoptionwithonlythebottomstop.Ineithercase,thestopsneedtobeintheholesmarkedwiththesamemarkingastheinnercamsetting.TheUltraFast(UF)hybridcamsystemhastwovalleysettings-longandshort.Whenusingtopandbottomstopsforahard“wall”bothstopsneedtobeinthesameholedesignation-longorshort.
LEt-Off: Let-offadjustmentispartofthedrawstop.Toadjustfromhighertolowerlet-off,removethedrawstopfromthehigherlet-offholeandreinstallitinthelowerlet-offholeofthecorrespondingmodulenumber.Forexample,ifthecamisequippedwithanumber7modulethestopmustbereinstalledintheholemarked“7”intherowmarkedwiththelowerlet-offsetting.Changingtolowerlet-offwillshortenthedrawlengthasmallamount.
StaGE 3™:DRaw LEnGth:Thedrawlengthisadjustedbyplacingthebowinanappropriatebowpressandrelievingthetensionfromthestringandcables.Movethestringtotheslotthatwillshortentheeffectivelengthofthestringtoshortenthedrawlengthby½”perwheel.Movethestringtotheslotthatwilllengthentheeffectivelengthofthestringtolengthenthedrawofthebowby½”perwheel.

PSEhastwotypesofpocketsystems:hardstoppocketsandvibrationdamperpockets.Hardstoplimbpocketshavea“bottomed”positiontodeterminepeakweight.Thispositioniswherethelimb,pocketandrisercontactoneanotherandcannotbeadjustedfurther.Vibrationdamperpocketshaverubberinbetweenthelimbandpocketandtheriser.The“bottomed”limbpositionisnOtwhenthelimbscontacttheriser.Thebottomedpositionforvibrationdamperpocketsiswherethebottomsurfaceofthelimbisapproximately.20”(3/16”or5mm)awayfromtheriser.Thelimbboltmaybeadjustedtoslightlyincreasethedrawweight,butthegapbetweenthelimbandrisermustneverbelessthan0.15”(4mm).
IMPORTANT:Donot“bottom”thelimbsagainsttheriseronabowequippedwithvibrationdamperpockets!
SomePSEbowsareequippedwithaspecialasymmetricidlerwheel,whichisassembledonthetoplimb.Itisessentialthattheidlerbeorientedproperly.Thewideedgeoftheidleralwaysgoestothecableguardsideofthebow.Theillustrationshowstheproperorientationoftheidlerforaright-handedbowwhenviewedwhileholdingthebowasitisshot.

Backthelimbboltsout4turnsfromthebottomsettingandpositionthepressurepointsontheriserasclosetothelimbsaspossibleWITHOUTmakingcontactwiththelimbsasshowninthephoto.Thepressurepointsmustnotcontactthelimbsatanytimeduringservicing.
Positionthelimbrollersoutwardonthelimbssothatwhentheriserispulleddownthebowdoesnotslipthrough/betweentherollersbeforereleasingtensiononthestringandcables.Therollersmustbeatleast4”fromthelimbpocketsorthelimbswillbreak.Whileplacingtensiononthelimbs,BEVERYCAREFULNOTTOPULLTHERISERDOWNTOOFAR.DEFLECTTHELIMBSJUSTENOUGHTOREMOVETHESTRINGANDCABLES.Neverallowtherollerstogopastthebelly(thinnestpart)ofthelimb.
