Scranton Weekly - 9/24/2021 Hello Scranton Families! We had a ton of fun celebrating Pink Week. We hope you have fun tonight at the football game if you are attending. With the rain this week we saw more parents at drop off stopping at the flagpole. Please fill in all available space. You should be bumper to bumper in a line and then your child can exit. By completely filling the line we can get 20 cars dropped off at once. Additionally, please do not pull into the staff parking lot on the east side of the building. Our students walk along this area for the football field and the additional traffic here is not supportive of drop off. This week we have also seen an increase in students being ill. Please keep your child home if they are feeling sick. When students come to school and then are positive the ramifications of that are many children home for quarantine. Additionally, attached to this email is information from the LCHD regarding quarantine options for unvaccinated staff and students. Our gradebook glitch has officially been fixed this week. Please give teachers some time to enter grades and provide updates. Important Dates: October 1st: PTO Meeting, 9:00 a.m., Scranton Conference Room October 11: No school for students, teacher PD day October 12th-22nd: NWEA Assessment Window October 18th: Orchestra Concert BCPA October 21st: Choir Concert BCPA October 28th: Band Concert BCPA November 2nd: No school November 5th: End of Quarter 1 November 24th-29th: No School, Thanksgiving Break COVID Vaccination Cards: If your child has been vaccinated, please email Mrs. Langenderfer at [email protected] with a photo of the card. We will make sure to add this to our roster so that your child will not have to quarantine during contact tracing.
