Undergraduate pathway programs Navitas pathway programs ensure high-potential students are given the extra support and assistance needed to succeed in U.S. higher education.

International University Transfer Program (IUTP)/Undergraduate Pathway Program (UPP)The IUTP/UPP is a two- or three-semester program, which consists of for-credit courses and provides an academic and cultural bridge from

high school to university study. The IUTP/UPP is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree program and students attend classes on the university campus. Upon successful completion of the IUTP/UPP, students will move directly into the second year of their chosen undergraduate degree program.

Peninsula ApartmentsLive by the sea at The Peninsula, Boston’s newest waterfront high-rise apartment complex. Conveniently located directly opposite from campus, it’s a short walk to class and to the subway, and only minutes to downtown Boston. There is no furniture in Peninsula apartments.

Eaves Quincy apartments are located directly across the water from UMass Boston, and is just one stop away from campus on the public transit system. There is no furniture in Eaves Quincy apartments. Please note that Eaves Quincy apartments are available for graduate students only.

Furnishing your apartmentIt is rare to find an apartment in Boston that is already furnished, so students should prepare to buy or rent furniture upon arrival. There are several stores near UMass Boston where students can purchase affordable furnishings. You may visit the Navitas at UMass Boston Supply Swap Facebook page to see what items other students are currently selling.

Those who do not want to buy may rent furniture. Visit the CORT Furniture website at cort.com/student to view student packages which range between $100-200 per month.

Please note that students must be moved in and present at the apartment at the time of furniture delivery. CORT will not deliver to your apartment prior to your arrival.

Scholarships and bursariesEach year through the Navitas academic merit scholarship program, 162 scholarships are awarded worldwide to students currently studying in our university pathway colleges and managed campuses.

Navitas academic merit scholarshipsNavitas provides a limited number of scholarship(s) each semester to continuing students attending a Navitas school who have displayed high academic skills and talents. These students must also demonstrate commitment to fostering intercultural understanding through their engagement at the Navitas school.* The number and value of the award will be solely determined by Navitas.

For programs that matriculate directly into a university degree program, the scholarship will cover only the Navitas member institute components of the program for the semester.

Navitas family bursariesNavitas offers financial support in the form of family bursaries. A bursary applies where two or more students from the same family study with a Navitas member institution.* The bursary is equivalent to 10 percent of the tuition fee of your program of study.†

UMass Lowell/UMass Dartmouth‡ International Scholars AwardThe International Scholars Award is a renewable award available specifically for Navitas at UMass Lowell/UMass Dartmouth Undergraduate Pathway Program (UPP) students. The award amount is US$3,000 per year and the scholarship is awarded to all international students who successfully complete the UPP program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Continuation of this undergraduate degree scholarship is dependent on maintaining full-time status and a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 at the end of each academic year. This scholarship is renewable annually and awarded for a maximum of four years.* The Navitas family bursary and academic merit scholarships are offered to students studying at ACBT, AUSI, BCUIC, Curtin College, Curtin Singapore, CRIC, Deakin College, EIBT, EIC, Eynesbury, FIC, HIC, ICM, ICP, ICRGU, ICWS, La Trobe Melbourne, La Trobe University Sydney Campus, LBIC, Navitas at FAU, Navitas at UMass Boston, Navitas at UMass Dartmouth, Navitas at UMass Lowell, Navitas at UNH, NIC, PIBT, PUIC, QIBT, SAIBT and UCIC only.
