UPW Extendable Table. Design Ulrich P. Wieser

Developed in the 1960s by Ulrich P. Wieser, this extendable

table stands out, thanks to its simple and unobtrusive – yet

extremely sturdy – construction. Even when fully extended,

the table meets every need: the legs are placed where they

don’t get in the way – at the ends.The pull-out mechanism is

easy to operate and, with just a simple movement, the table

is turned into a large, festive dinner table. The classic legs

allow combining different types of chairs.

The tabletop is available in a selection of well-seasoned

woods, which are carefully processed and finished with oil,

soap or varnish. The table is available in two base sizes,

each of which can be extended with two leaves: Model A

from 146 to 278cm; Model B from 212 to 344cm. The UPW

extendable table is a sturdy and long-lasting piece of furnitu-

re that delights, thanks to its superior workmanship and

usefulness.

The Idea

Ulrich P. Wieser has designed a range of tables suitable

for both everyday use and special occasions. With just a

few simple movements, the tables can be extended to fit

the occasion and to accommodate more people. The neu-

tral frame can be combined with a selection of tabletops to

match the most varied interior styles.

Two Sizes

Based on your requirements and space, you can choose

between two sizes. Model 1010 A, 2 – 4 segments:146 x

96 x 72 (2 segments) extendable to 212 or 278 (3 or 4

segments). Model 1010 B, 3 – 5 segments 212 x 96 x 72

(3 segments) extendable to 278 or 344 (4 or 5 segments)

Pull-out Mechanism

Two extension leaves are placed below the tabletop. They

are not visible from the outside and are precision-fitted

into the frame. One person can effortlessly extend the

table and push it together again. The extension leaves fit

safely and seamlessly into the top.

Wood and Finish

Each table is individual and unique. For the tabletops,

there is a selection of finest woods featuring beautiful col-

ours and textures. You can select from a range of woods

and finishes: veneer, solid wood-panelled frame and solid-

wood plywood with oil, soap or lacquer finish.
