Vajrayogini Kadampa Buddhist Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit center for medi-tation and modern Buddhism. We are a member center of the New Kadampa Tradition, a global network of meditation centers founded by modern Buddhist master, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

We offer classes throughout DC and the metro area. Our classes are offered on a drop-in basis and everyone is welcome to attend, no experience necessary.

Vajrayogini Center's Resident Teacher is Gen Kelsang Nyema, an American Buddhist nun ordained by Geshe Kelsang in 2004. Gen Nyema has been teaching meditation and Buddhism for over eleven years, and is known for her clarity, warmth, and humor.
