guarantees in-state tuition rates.
In the 2016-17 academic year: The College of Music awarded $1,031,784.00 in scholarships+++
More than one third of students (624 out of 1550) received merit scholarships of $1,000 or more from the College of Music +++
One third of graduate students (190 out of 571) received teaching assistantships or fellowships. In 2016-2017, all new full-time teaching assistantships and fellowships covered 3 hours of tuition and
fees for master's students, and 6 hours of tuition and fees for doctoral students. These full-time assistantships and fellowships also included an employment waiver, allowing for non-Texas resident
to pay in-state tuition. +++
