MARCH 2012 NEWS
Our Club is 50 this year and we would
love everyone to be able to join the
Celebrations on Friday 27th April at the
Glenelg Surf Lifesaving club. You can
secure your tickets by telephoning Tania

For anyone able to do so, we would also
welcome any donations of goods or
services towards our Silent Auction on the
evening. Your support is appreciated and,
remember, that all funds raised are used
in supporting our swimmers. These can
be left in the clubrooms or with a
committee member.
Francesca Wakeham has kindly organized
the “People’s Choice Community
Lottery” this year. Please attempt to sell
your tickets early. Last years
experience shows that the sooner they
are sold the better as other sporting
groups will start selling as well. If you

Swimming SA News The 2012-13 Swimming SA Calendar of Events is now available on the SwimmingSA website. www.swimmingsa.org.au Name Changes - There have been some changes for events. Division 1, 2 and A Grade competitions will now be referred to as Division 1 or 2. JX competitions are now designated for swimmers aged 11yrs & under. Swimmers aged over 11yrs are now encouraged to attend division 2, club carnivals or division 1 meets.
SWIMMING SA WINTER EVENT INFORMATION:
Please refer to the Calendar of Events on the Swimming SA website or your 2011-12 handbook for closing dates. The following meets are swum in a Short Course pool (25metre pool) at the Aquatic Centre. They are a great opportunity for some of our new swimmers to have a go and see how they perform.
NEW TICKETING – Beat the line up! Online spectator ticketing for Swimming SA is now available for all Swimming SA events. To buy spectator tickets go to the Swimming SA website and click on the Ticket Logo on the home page. You will be able to scan you way into the event! (Officials receive FREE Entry)

Come 'n' Try events are for kids aged 6-13 who are not members of SwimmingSA and wish to try competitive
Swimming.
Below are the dates and events that are currently on offer for you to Come 'N' Try in 2012.
To make it easy for you, you will be entered into all events but changes can be made on the day of the competition.
March 25th - 50m Freestyle, Backstroke & Breaststroke (CLOSED)
May 27th - 25m Freestyle, Backstroke & Breaststroke
June 24th - 25m Freestyle, Backstroke & Breaststroke
July 22nd - 25m Freestyle, Backstroke & Breaststroke & 50m Freestyle
