Skills of participation and responsible action encourage pupils to help establish and take part responsibly in both school and community-based activities, and to reflect on the process of participating. They also have to be able to think about and explain views that are not their own. Skills of enquiry and communication seek to develop pupils ability to think about, investigate and analyse citizenship issues and to communicate their ideas in a range of ways.
