You have recently been successful in gaining a secondment to the Confederation of British

Industry. The purpose of this role is to raise awareness of sustainable development issues

and to advise senior managers of how these issues impact on the strategic development of

their businesses.. Your line manager at the CBI has asked you to produce a set of materials

for distribution to interested organisations and to provide support for senior managers..

Task 1

The first part of these materials should help recipients to understand the global sustainability

agenda. You must include
