Analyze the Learners• Grade Level- 11th Grade Juniors• Classroom consists of 25 students (15 males and 10 females)• Five students have mild ADHD. (4 males and 1 female)
Main Objective• The main objective of this lesson is for the students to
understand how Cornelius Vanderbilt, John Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, JP Morgan, Thomas Edison, and Henry Ford influenced the Industrial Revolution in America by the end of the week with 95% accuracy.
Day by Day Breakdown• Day OneBrief intro of the Industrial RevolutionDiscuss first Influential man: Cornelius Vanderbilt: Railroad Tycoon
• Day TwoIntroduce John D. Rockefeller: Oil TycoonDiscuss relationship to Vanderbilt
• Day Three Introduce Andrew Carnegie : Steel SupplierDiscuss relationship to Vanderbilt and Rockefeller

Website.• Have students create a Facebook page for each person and
create a profile matching their accomplishments. • Have the student make a poster comparing Thomas Edison’s
light bulb to Rockefeller’s oil or Vanderbilt’s railroad to Ford’s automobile.
