New trade routes in the 15 and 16th centuries
The Silk route had to cross Muslim territories in order to reach the Far East and the Spices Islands (today Maluku Islands)
The Turks will conquer Constantinople in the 15th century and took control of the territories that the Silk route crossed.
New instruments are going to be invented.
A new boat, the caravel, firstly used by the Portuguese to explore the African coast through the Atlantic ocean. It could reach more than 15km/h.
