E-Discovery Essentials is an interactive, self-paced course that explores aspects of the e-discovery process, from preservation, to collection and review. This course is ideal for individuals preparing for the Certified E-Discovery Specialists (CEDS) examination and those new to the e-discovery field. Purchasing this course gives you unlimited access to a full year of training.

The course contains 17 modules covering diverse topics that span the e-discovery process. Learners will progress through the basics of e-discovery preparation, best practices for ESI collection and, finally, the review process.

E-Discovery Essentials will take approximately twelve hours to complete.

⊲ SKILL ASSESSMENT AND TRACKING

Throughout the E-Discovery Essentials course, each module is concluded with a set of comprehensive review questions to effectively assess a learners’ comprehension and recall of the material presented. Each question includes detailed feedback to a learner’s response to reinforce their learning and contribute to their knowledge retention.

To successfully advance to the next module, a learner is required to view and interact with the core learning object and complete the summative quiz. To ensure ease of convenience, a learners can pause and resume their learning at any time.

This course is designed to track the advancement of each learner, allowing them to view their progress at any point through a course homepage. In addition, designated administrators may also track user progress, including quiz scores and module completion. This function is ideal for organizations that wish to administer training internally. For instance, the course can teach in-house legal and IT teams to execute organization-wide litigation holds, and best practices for data preservation.

E-Discovery Essentials is a fully interactive training course that will engage and challenge each learner. ⊲ CEDS CERTIFICATION TRAINING

E-Discovery Essentials is the ideal companion to the Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS™) Preparation Manual and CEDS Online Prep Seminar.

While this course should not be taken in place of the study manual, it will reinforce the CEDS preparation materials and help candidate earn a higher score on the exam. ACEDS recommends that CEDS candidates preparing for the test to read chapters in the study manual and take the online modules for reinforcement.
