DIARY DATES
Welcome back everyone, I hope everyone
enjoyed their holidays and you are all
having a wonderful start to the new year.
The students have all had a great first week
back and are really settled in their new
classrooms. We are very excited to
welcome Freya, Jayden, Callan, Fletcher,
Ruby and Mila to our school this year and
we are looking forward to seeing the
progress they make over the year.
We are also welcoming to our school this
year Kelly Robinson and Aisha Cooper. Kelly
will be teaching the Junior Primary Class and
Aisha will be fulltime in the Upper Primary
Class. We are excited to be running three
classes this year for literacy and numeracy
and these classes will be up and running
next week. Classes will be split R-2, 3-5 and
6/7. This will be a great opportunity for
students to have much smaller class sizes
for explicit teaching of literacy and
numeracy and highly individualised, and
targeted teaching and learning programs.
Next week Kelly, myself and Aisha will be
involved in two days of professional
development at Cummins Area School (6th
and 7th). This year the Central Eyre
Partnership schools are working together on
a maths project that aims to create lessons
for students that focus on problem solving
that are responsive to students needs.
Looking forward to seeing you all at Meet
and Greet next Thursday afternoon. Have a
good week.
Ashleigh.

RESILIENCE RESPECT ACHIEVEMENT INTEGRITY
This week we welcomed baby Elke with her mum Lauren
and brother Calen to Playcentre and congratulations to
Sdhar, Eddie and Lunar on the birth of their son and
brother Kota, born on Monday.
It was awesome to see our new toilet building completed
and ready for use this week. Richwood Constructions did a
superb job.
Next week Tammy and Nicola will be our afternoon help-
ers, followed by Eden and Richelle in week 3 Sophie and
Jen in week 4. We will decide our direction for the term
at the meeting next Monday night where I will share my
professional development learning with you all. I think
there are some exciting changes ahead for our early child-
hood setting and I can’t wait to get you thinking!
