Type UUC for underwater mounting
Underwater mounting/demountingThe UUC is designed for easy underwater mounting and dismantling without drydocking the vessel.
This is of outmost importance in connection with semi-sub oil drilling rigs, production vessels and other large vessels, where drydocking is a problem.

The thruster is lowered by supply boat, crane barge or by vessel’s own crane.
The thruster is lifted by three inboard wires.
Outer dome is removed and vertical shaft etc. are installed.
