UGVCL moves way forward in Mukhyamantri Apprentice Yojana
Under the able leadership of Hon. Chief Minister, GUVNL took an initiative to engage the
services of ITI passout youths of Gujarat in its subsidiary companies under Mukhyamantri
Apprentice Yojana, hereby improving the youth employment ratio of Gujarat.
Accordingly, UGVCL organized an event to offer appointment letters to 130 apprentices
selected by the Company during Bharti Melas held earlier in the ITIs of Sabar Kantha.
This event was organized on 13-Jun-2018 at 10.30 hrs. at Swami Vivekananda Town Hall,
Idar, District Sabarkantha.
Hon. Managing Director Shri Swaroop P., IAS and other esteemed dignitaries graced the
occasion.
Gujarat Skill Development Mission's Hon. Managing Director Smt. Avantika Singh, IAS was
invited by UGVCL to grace the occasion. But due to unavoidable circumstances, Smt.
Singh could not attend the event. However, Deputy Director Shri V.S. Champavat of this
office remained present during the event, in the absence of Smt. Singh.
In his ceremonial speech, Shri Swaroop emphasized on the acute need of skilled labour in
our country, especially Gujarat, and congratulated the newly joined employees for their
appointment.
ITI Himmatnagar’s Principal Shri N.M. Patel remained present during the event, along
with other esteemed dignitaries.
130 apprentices were offered Appointment Letters by Hon. Managing Director and the
invited dignitaries in person for service as Apprentice Linemen in the Company.
AGM (HR) Shri A.C. Prajapati, with his team, successfully managed the entire event in a
smooth and timely manner. DGM (HR) Shri N.B. Balat, IRO Shri V.H. Asari, Manager (CC)
Shri K.K. Sathwara and Asst. Secretary Shri P.G. Brahmbhatt were at stand toes with Shri
Prajapati during this occasion.

Shri Prajapati's efforts in making this event a grand success were wholeheartedly
supported by Superintending Engineer (Himmatnagar) Shri L.F. Dabhi and his entire team
of Himmatnagar Circle.
GUVNL Managing Director Shri Pankaj Joshi, IAS congratulated UGVCL Managing Director
Shri Swaroop and his entire team for the gala success of this event and further wished
larger success of such events in Mehsana and Palanpur.
Shri V.M. Shroff, Shri G.H. Engineer and Shri L.A. Gadhvi, the Circle Heads of Sabarmati,
Mehsana and Palanpur circles respectively, also remained present during the occasion.
Deputy Engineer Shri K.D. Barot, with his inspirational speech, compered the entire event
very well with relevant quotes.
UGVCL warmly welcomes all these new members to the UGVCL family and further wishes
them all the best to perform their duties in the best possible manner and excel ahead in
career progression channels.
UGVCL further intends to hold such events at Mehsana and Palanpur in near future to
engage the services of ITI passout youths from Mehsana, Palanpur and nearby areas.
