DUTIES AND TASKS 1) Confer with sales and management executives or with clients in order

to discuss design ideas.

2) Determine prices for styles.

3) Develop a group of products and/or accessories, and market them

through venues such as boutiques or mail-order catalogs.

4) Direct and coordinate workers involved in drawing and cutting

patterns and constructing samples or finished garments.

5) Identify target markets for designs, looking at factors such as age,

gender, and socioeconomic status.

6) Provide sample garments to agents and sales representatives, and

arrange for showings of sample garments at sales meetings or fashion

shows.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

You can work as a Art Directors, Floral Designers, Graphic Designers or

Sewer and Tailor.

Dress as if you were trying to show your style to an agent or marketer.

Fashion designers may work in offices, workrooms, factories or clothing

stores.

Most fashion designers work long, irregular hours. Overtime often is

required before big shows and during season rushes. Work rooms may be

crowded. Designers must meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level

of quality and paying careful attention to detail.

EDUCATION& TRAINING

REQUIRED

Education can go from High School Diploma to as high as an Associates or

Bachelors degree , there isn't much needed to start fashion design , but the higher

the better the opportunity.

Trainings are optional.

License are not required.

Working in retail can help be an source of fashion design.

JOB OUTLOOK

The median salary for designers with less than one year of experience is $34,620

Designers with 10 to 19 years of experience earn $78,253 a year, and those with more

than 20 years of experience earn $87,675.

The job outlook strong competition for jobs is expected because of the large number

of people who seek employment as fashion designers and the relatively few positions

available and becoming a fashion designer can lead you in the range of being very wealthy.

TO YOU?

Fashion does not always mean that, you have to wear what the

others wear. How about thinking, I will make the world wear what I

CLOTHING?

Unisex clothing are apparel that men and women are able to wear ,

not just one sex should wear the same thing , switch it up and try

something different.
